From the Managing Editor
The Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice begins its 8th year of publication with this issue. From our humble beginnings to today's popularity and success as an outstanding Allied Health journal, our publication remains, open-access, free to the healthcare audience, and has a continuing mission to assist the first-time author.
To date the journal has published over 225 manuscripts, book reviews, and commentaries from countries around the globe. Partnerships have been forged with institutions such as the University of South Australia and the International Centre for Allied Health Evidence. We have also achieved and maintained Health on the Net (HON) certification since our inception.
Reviewers and Editors continue to volunteer their time and expertise to the mission of the journal. We charge authors nothing to publish and provide peer-reviewed avenue for research publication and assistance.
It is my hope over the next year to increase publication partnerships and readership beyond the 108 countries who frequently visit the journal. We will make every effort to increase the publication of research from around the world and shine a light on the changes occurring in the healthcare system, for better or worse
We want to increase the features presented with each publication and it is our hope that clinicians from the world over will send us stories to spotlight clinicians making a difference.
Thank you for reading the journal. We look forward to your manuscripts and stories, as well as your readership.
