Journal of International Law and Comparative Studies

Aims & Scope

The Journal of International Law and Comparative Studies is dedicated to advancing scholarship that bridges the gap between the United States and the global legal community. Through comparative analysis and critical examination of legal systems, the Journal seeks to foster a deeper understanding of international and domestic legal frameworks.

By publishing thoughtful and rigorous scholarship, the Journal promotes informed discourse on complex legal issues that transcend national boundaries. The Journal’s aim is to encourage meaningful dialogue that contributes to educated decision-making and the development of effective legal solutions in an increasingly interconnected world.

Permissions

The Journal of International Law and Comparative Studies hereby grants permission for copies of all articles on which it holds copyright to be made and used by nonprofit educational institutions, provided that the copies are distributed at or below cost, the author and the Journal are identified, and proper notice is affixed to each copy.

Submissions

The Journal of International Law and Comparative Studies welcomes unsolicited manuscripts on topics of interest to the international law community. All submissions will be evaluated as promptly as possible. The Journal assumes no responsibility for the return of unsolicited manuscripts.

Authors should submit manuscripts through the Submissions tab. Manuscripts must be submitted as double-spaced Microsoft Word documents. Citations must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform Citation (22nd ed. 2025). and should be presented as footnotes.

Subscriptions

Subscription rates are $40.00 per volume per year for domestic subscribers and $45.00 per volume per year for foreign subscribers. Subscriptions are renewed automatically unless a subscriber provides timely notice of termination.
