Abstract
This session will share classic photography wisdom as metaphor for creative engagement in the online classroom. A photographer’s perspective of the world is one from which she wants to portray a snapshot in time of a single special moment. Photographer’s tools are many, the most valuable one being the internal wisdom for the best tools to use at the moment. Instructors also have a wide variety of tools with which to sharpen the focus of their students; again wisdom and intuition provide the lens to effectively capture the minds and hearts of students. Join this interactive session (BYOD) to share thoughts on how these photography tips can re-focus your engagement lens: “Close-Ups,” “Light,” “The lens makes all the difference,” “Rule of Thirds,” “Depth of Field for Perspective,” “Seeing beyond the apparent,” and “f8 and be There”
