From the Managing Editor

Welcome to Volume 7 Number 3. In this edition we welcome manuscripts and authors from Nigeria. This is a first for the journal. We also have interesting commentary from the first time contributors in the areas of medical ethics, diversity, and mission work.

As the journal moves forward, we hope to invite many more contributors to write pieces for the journal and to share stories of allied health practitioners breaking new ground and working toward improving communication among the professions globally.

In this edition, I interview Dr. Frederick Paola, author of the new book, Medical Ethics and Humanities and gain insight into the training of allied health personnel. Dr. Paola is also the ethics editor and legal consultant for the journal and we are please to introduce his new book.

We also look at the work of Dr. Saravana Kumar, Deputy Director for the Centre for Allied Health Evidence. Dr. Kumar, a NHMRC NICS MAC Fellow at the University of South Australia, is breaking new ground in the field of complementary and alternative health care.

Once again, welcome to the journal.
