Abstract

Working with undergraduate researchers is not an easy task. Professors, in doing so, most assume the role of teacher, mentor, and when done correctly—collaborator. This paper presentation explores the challenges and rewards two associate professors have experienced working with undergraduate researchers. However, in keeping with the theme of the conference, “Teaching and Learning Qualitative Research”, this paper presentation does not focus solely on faculty voices. This presentation also analyzes the experiences of three student researchers from their own perspectives.
