Description
Are all exam preparation techniques created equal? Thirty-one doctoralOccupational Therapy students’ use ofthree different exam preparation techniques (readings, audio/visual tools, and synchronous and asynchronous interactions) was explored and correlated with their final exam scores. An online questionnaire was used to collect data. None of the exam preparation techniques related to the final exam scores. Some studies have suggested that it is not one technique but a combination of techniques that impact exam scores (Balch, 2001). The authors of this study also investigated the relationship between motivation towards the course and performance on the final exam. There was no relationship. This could be due to the fact that this is a doctoral program and students are generally motivated.
