Description
This image was taken in the early morning hours in my backyard back home in Maine. The garter snake had startled me from my typical reading spot and I rushed inside to grab my camera and capture the moment. This photo was shot at eye level with the snake, allowing the towering blades of grass to showcase the world we simply walk over every day.
