Brief Bio / Description of Interviewee
I got diagnosed when I was 21 years old with ovarian cancer and it really changed me. I think it changed me for the better. When I got sick, I was more high strung than I am now. It made me realize that you can’t control everything and so it kind of let me relax a little bit on that. It did change me in that sense. It does kind of make you think a little bit differently about things. How are you going to spend the time that you have no matter what it is? If it's 5 or 8 or 10 years? Like how are we going to spend that time? And it really did change what I thought was important.
