Abstract
In this paper I discuss the innovative methodology, of my doctoral research. My methodology is transformative learning and I draw from a range of methods including critical reflection, reflexivity, discourse, autobiography and “Rogerian therapy” interviews of ‘self’. Transformative learning (Mezirow 1990) with its emphasis on the analysis and interpretation of experiences provides both the theoretical framework and the authority to transform my development practitioner experiences into learning.
