Synthesis of new Ruthenium (II) Complex, [Ru(bipyCN)2]2+ and its Interactions with DNA
Abstract
A new Ru(II) complex, [Ru(bipyCN)2]2+ (where bpyCN is 4,4'-Bis(cyanomethyl)- 2,2'-bipyridine), was synthesized and characterized, and the effect on the emission spectra of the complex was studied. The interaction of the complex with DNA was investigated by UV–visible and emission spectroscopy.
