Journey to Dentistry

Either by chance or design dentistry was something that I stumbled upon during my undergraduate years. It was always my passion to be involved in the healthcare arena but I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted as a career. My older brother began dental school during my undergraduate and it began peeking my interest. It was not long before I decided to pursue Dentistry and began my journey towards becoming a dentist. My focus began on making myself a qualified candidate by juggling classes, shadowing, community service, and studying for the DAT. The road was paved with some challenges but I was determined to achieve my goal. Dental school had its own set of challenges but my will to persevere was stronger and it was all worth it at the end. Many years later I find myself having a fulfilling career as a General Dentist and an opportunity to share my journey and experience with others. Dentistry is a very rewarding field that is constantly engaging and exciting. I am proud to know that I positively impact the people I serve and change lives, and you can too.
