Description

"Speeding kills" is not just a statement for Everglades National Park, it is the truth. Every time I visit Everglades National Park I see wildlife that has been hit by vehicles. The speed limit is 55mph and lightly enforced due to the remote location of the main park road. I rarely see park visitors abide by the speed limit and this is the result of it. Wildlife should not be harmed by careless driving in a national park and this is an issue that needs to be cracked down on. This dead cotton mouth is an example of an anthropogenic impact in Everglades National Park.
