Student Bio
Yarelis Díaz-Rohena is a third-year pharmacy student at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy (NSU-COP) in Davie, Florida. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in August 2018 at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, in the Natural Sciences Interdisciplinary Program. Yarelis was the P1 Liaison for the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) chapter at NSU and was recognized as P1 of the year. As a P2, she held the position of Operation Immunization Chair. In addition, she served as the COP Student Government Association Secretary, the Director of Communications of the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association (NCODA) during the 2019-2020 academic year, and received the Student Travel Award to attend the 2019 Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) Fall Session. Currently, she is the NCODA NSU Student Chapter President and the FLASCO Pharmacy Liaison. Interested in specializing in oncology pharmacy, her goal is to pursue a residency after completing her PharmD in 2022. In her spare time, Yarelis enjoys singing, drawing, painting, and practicing yoga.
