Abstract
The author designed and implemented a series of workshops for staff to become more knowledgeable with the center's policies and procedures. A series of workshops was developed and implemented to achieve the stated objective. There was improvement in communication, as indicated by surveys and observation. Tasks completed were reduced, as indicated by documentation and surveys. Accidents were reduced, as evidenced by accident reports. There was improvement in providing appropriate activities, as evidenced by pretest-posttest test scores. The quality of care being provided was improved as a result of training program implemented.
