Abstract

The author developed a program of behavior modification, nutrition, and fitness tips, and walking exercise for weight control and improved general fitness. The low cost program, targeted for semi-sedentary workers, but adaptable to the elderly and others, sought to promote fitness through an exercise program geared to the individuals tolerance and pace, and the format enabled the use of a lay leader/facilitator. (Appendices include survey forms, pre-program notice, program, tasks of facilitator, work sheet and poet program survey.)
