Description

In this course students learn engineering design principles to convert an innovative idea into an engineering product. More specifically, they learn the arrangement of the physical elements, how to determine the exact values, dimensions, or tolerances, how to design for sustainability and manufacturability, cost analysis, and market study. As a class project, they will apply all these knowledge to design an engineering product, which is innovative and patentable. Student will then cooperate with NSU TRED office for possible IP protection and commercialization.
