Description
Motivational Interviewing (MI) has been applied to counselor supervision as a framework for encouraging supervisees’ growth. In this interactive content session, presenters will describe the benefits of using MI in clinical supervision as well as in student remediation, especially when students are ambivalent about changing their behaviors or appear disengaged from the supervision or remediation process. Case examples will illustrate specific applications of MI in supervision and remediation.
