Description
Self-promotion is key to academic advancement; however, it presents a dilemma for women because it requires overcoming established gender norms and risking penalization for these violations. It is critical to understand ways to enhance selfpromotion and make invisible work visible. This session will focus on how to overcome gender norms to facilitate selfpromotion, strategies for gaining recognition for invisible work, and approaches faculty have used to promote themselves professionally.
