NSU Experience
I was able to develop fundamental skills for my current graduate studies throughout my time at NSU. Being able to start research and attend conferences my first and every year in college is something not available elsewhere. This allowed me to be fully exposed to research and understand all the options for me as a future biology graduate. I decided to go for my PhD as opposed to my original plan of direct patient care. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Schmitt Lavin and her commitment to providing students with these opportunities. Only with her support and the rest of the biology department would I feel confident in working towards a graduate degree.
