Description

My summer internship was with Washington State University ’ s College of Veterinary Medicine. For eight weeks, I worked in a lab that researches epigenetic re gulation in neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. I specifically worke d with a mouse model of Kabuki syndrome in order to determine what genes were differe ntial expressed between knockouts and wild-types. I had the opportunity to work with the PI, post-d oc, lab technician and three other undergraduates of the lab.

The trick to the treat of an internship or research fair is an annual event presented by the Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography and NSU’s Office of Career Development. The event showcases the many internship opportunities offered by NSU to its undergraduate students.
