Abstract
In this presentation, I share findings from a PAR project in which I worked with women experiencing homelessness. I explain how PAR creates a vehicle for stigmatized populations to participate in information-gathering traditionally reserved for those in positions of power. I explore how action research creates a space to understand marginalized clients' strengths and use these factors as a catalyst for change in our communities. Finally, I reflect on how these women’s attitudes have transformed the way I work as a psychologist serving underserved, minority populations.
