Abstract
This project aims to research and discover the stress of Pre-health students and the effects that stress has on their passions for the field. The pre-health field is notorious for being difficult and requiring incredibly hard work, however, all pre-health students all have a common goal in mind and that is to become health professionals in their respective field. As a pre-health student myself, I came into college with a great passion for my field, however, I have certainly faced struggles along the way, but they have not deterred me from my goal. In order to get information, there will be primary research needed. Primary research can be done by directly asking pre-health students through a survey about their stress levels and if those have diminished or flourished their passion to be a health professional. In order to ensure legitimacy of the students’ answers, they will be asked about both their major, their future professional goal, as well as any additional programs they are a part of at Nova that relate to the prehealth field. Stress levels and passion will then be linked using correlation techniques in an easy-to-read manner like bar graphs as well as plot graphs with trendlines. An oral presentation would be ideal for this project since there is a lot of background information that must be conveyed before giving results as well as a discussion.
