Mathematical modeling of social relationships: what mathematics can tell us about people
"It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future." - Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra.
With due consideration to Yogi's remark above, in this brief, but we hope informative, chapter, we nonetheless take a bold step toward thinking about the future of the mathematical modeling of social relationships. Our goal here is not so much to predict the future, but to start the reader on their own thought process of exploring these issues.
