Description

In abusive relationships, someone will often use excuses to justify their unhealthy behavior. They might blame their actions on alcohol, stress, or other people. “Because I Love You: Deflecting Responsibility” explores how someone might deflect responsibility for their harmful actions and why that’s a red flag of an unhealthy or abusive relationship.

Content Warning: This film explores examples of relationship abuse. It can be hard to watch even if you have not experienced abuse. Please feel free to step away, turn your camera off, or use other ways to care of yourself. We will hand out a resource list including organizations that you can reach out to for help.

Host: Title IX Peer Educators (Erika)
