Description
I stumbled upon this prescribed burn taking place in Everglades National Park. This is a very important conservation technique used in the Everglades. The Everglades is a fire adapted environment and by doing this practice it allows for the removal of invasive species, regeneration of pine trees, and allows for more light to hit the ground enabling smaller plants to grow. This habitat will essentially be reborn and I am very curious to watch this take place over the years to come.
