Suppose that you are trying to determine how many bass call NSU’s Gold Circle Lake home. First, you can catch a fixed number of these bass at one time from (you catch 30 bass.) Tag these 30 caught bass with tags and then once you finish tagging these 30 bass, release the 30 tagged fish back into the lake. Allow these fish to mix back into the population. The next day, you return to the lake and catch 100 fish. Of these 100 fish, exactly 12 of them have tags. Based on this information, what is your best estimate for the number of bass living in the lake.
