Abstract
This community needs assessment examined behavioral health service gaps among adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in Georgia. A bilingual online survey of 56 participants revealed high unmet needs for counseling, psychiatric care, peer support, and housing, with significant differences observed based on educational background and type of health insurance. One-quarter of respondents, particularly men, were unaware of state services, underscoring gaps in outreach and system navigation. Findings highlight the need for culturally responsive service coordination, inclusive outreach strategies, and the formation of a data-driven behavioral health provider coalition to reduce disparities and promote health equity for Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities in Georgia.
