Abstract
The Postsecondary Education Consortium housed at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, initiated a regional survey to determine the outreach and technical assistance needs of postsecondary institutions serving students who are deaf and hard of hearing. Results indicated that faculty and staff awareness in meeting the needs of students who are deaf and hard of hearing was the highest ranked priority among institutions. The respondents also reported the need for improvement in developmental studies programs and technical assistance in the areas of community resources^ student services procedures and site visits. Statewide networking, regional seminars and best practices were among the highest ranked categories with regards to information dissemination.
