Abstract
The present study was to determine conservation and metaphor performance of 35 children who used cued speech or ora1/alural communication modes. Correlations between conservation and metaphor responses and their relationships to age, specialized educational program, degree of hearing loss, and communication mode were conducted for a descriptive analysis. Certain significant relationships were found and discussed. Educational implications and recommendations were indicated.
