Author Bio

Andrea Charvet, PhD, RDN, LDN is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University (NSU).  At NSU, she teaches and mentors students, as well as proides nutrition care for patients diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at the Cathy J. Husman ALS Center at the NSU Health Neuroscience Institute.  As a research dietitian part of a multidisciplinary team working with patients with ALS , and an active member of professional organizations, Dr. Charvet is involved in research projects to improve quality of life for people living with ALS.
