Abstract

Based on an apprenticeship model where students learn about the conduct of scientific research in small groups, our undergraduate psychology program focuses on preparing students for graduate training in the field, and it involves training experiences enhanced by technology. Taking advantage of modern technology, we use a dedicated Local Area Network (LAN) of microcomputers running various research template and statistical software packages. Our LAN is part of a system for teaching Experimental Design and Statistical Inference, Laboratory in Cognition, and Research Issues in Psychology, a forum for independent research projects.
