Monica is the Peer-Nominated winner of the "Student of the Month for April, 2017" for her:

• Consistent leadership in several student organizations including Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Dean’s Ambassador Program and Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society
• Active involvement in the newly-initiated Legislative Task Force, a year-long committee dedicated to preparing students for advocacy of the pharmacy profession
• Relevant participation in community events including Walk for Diabetes, Feeding South Florida, Medication Safety awareness to the elderly and her volunteer work at a local church
• Academic excellence achieving the Chancellor’s and Dean’s list and Rho Chi Honor Society.
