Leadership in professional societies: Katherine served as Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) secretary and Phi Delta Chi secretary; also served on SSHP community committee and professional development committee, Phi Delta Chi philanthropy committee
Community involvement: Delivered interactive, Spanish-language diabetes presentations to community members and stakeholders via NSU interprofessional diabetes education and awareness (IDEA); active participant in NSU SSHP and Phi Delta Chi events
