Description
Patricia is the Peer-Nominated winner of the "Student of the Month for January, 2016".
As the Puerto Rico Campus Class of 2017 Vice President, Patricia brought innovative ideas to encourage solidarity and collaboration among peers by successfully delegating tasks and taking into consideration all opinions and ideas.
As APhA President Elect on her P2 year, Patricia kept developing her leadership skills by attending leadership workshops at the 2015 APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition and 2014 APhA Summer Leadership Internship. As APhA Puerto Rico Chapter President, she keeps working towards encouraging students to become involved on APhA and skills advancement programs like the Patient Counseling Competition, and Generation Rx.
As the Puerto Rico Campus SGA President, she is implementing for the first time the SGA “Let’s make it count” Fundraising and Community Service Campaign for the Children’s Hospital of Puerto Rico. The Children’s Hospital of Puerto Rico’s provides health care and support for pediatric patients with certain medical conditions and their families. The campaign is focused on a series of community service and fundraising initiatives directed to the Children’s Hospital of Puerto Rico. Patricia has made it her personal interest to support this cause and unite efforts with the student body to fulfill one of the most important aspects of pharmacy education: community involvement.
