Abstract
A sample of 281,291 outpatient visits related to chronic interstitial cystitis (IC) was extracted from a large national database. The prevalence of common illnesses and lifestyle practices was examined in this sample and compared to that in the general population. A majority of patients with IC regularly smoke tobacco.
