Abstract
From the era of slavery to mass immigration in the 21st century in America, this thesis will encompass how white nationalism has been an ever-present and growing threat to national security within America. The historical, systemic oppression and discrimination towards people of color set the tone by which the system and society operates in modern times. As the rise in immigrants of color continues, the surge in white nationalism does. White nationalism, immigrants of color, violence, and the nexus between the three is a threat to national security. The misconception that racism is “a thing of the past” and no longer a pressing matter to discuss is tearing America apart from the inside out. As America becomes a more diverse nation, the tumultuous clash between white nationalism and mass immigration by way of non-Europeans will continue to grow. Whether pro-immigration or anti-immigration, the United States is a melting pot. In addressing white nationalism and immigration both as individual topics in their own right, as well as collectively, the subject matter can create transformative change.
