At the Department of Conflict Resolution Studies (DCRS), through both undergraduate and graduate programs, we focus on the study of human behavior in societies, and methods whereby parties achieve constructive agreements based on the principles of nonviolence, equity, dignity, and appreciation for human diversity. The Department offers a Doctoral Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, an M.S. Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, 3 Graduate Certificates and an Undergraduate degree in Sociology.

Our students and faculty have a shared commitment to the “scholarship of engagement” working with community and organizational partners in the application of theory, research, and practice to address social problems.
