Laurie Marker, determined conservation icon, is an unrivaled pioneer in scientific development, interpretation, and translation on behalf of endangered wildlife species. Her leadership in research on cheetahs from molecular genetics to reproductive physiology, to ecology and species recovery/restoration is a milestone for conservation efforts of wildlife. She founded and directs today The Cheetah Conservation Fund in Otjiwarongo Namibia, a beacon of holistic African conservation policy.
