The purpose of this study was to explore and examine the differences regarding taser use among law enforcement officers working in Southern Florida’s law enforcement agencies. More specifically, the officers’ perceptions and understandings regarding the use of taser use and the extent to which the practice exhibits a significant underlying connection with its effectiveness was analyzed in terms of their connection with various demographic variables gender, age, education level, and years of expertise as a law enforcement officer. The researcher recruited 50 law enforcement officers from the region using online-based recruitment to collect relevant data regarding the aforementioned covariates. The data analysis was conducted using SPSS, with the inferential analysis consisting of ANOVA models aimed at examining the association between the extent to which there exists a significant relationship between the variables explored. It is hoped that the results and findings of this study will be instrumental in informing policy and strategies to effectively implement taser use among law enforcement officers in the United States.
