Objectives:
- To deepen understanding of the impact of culture, verbal and non-verbal cues, and emotional intelligence on DEI in the classroom, workplace, and community, with the outcome of participants having a clearer understanding of how these factors influence DEI and being better equipped to recognize and address these influences in their own lives and communities.
- To inspire and empower participants to make a positive impact in the promotion of DEI through collaboration, with the outcome of participants feeling inspired and empowered to make a difference and having a greater understanding of the role they can play in promoting DEI.
- To engage in interactive activities and simulations that challenge participants to reflect on their own attitudes and behaviors towards DEI, with the outcome of participants having the opportunity to examine their own beliefs and behaviors and gaining insight into areas for personal growth and development.
Target Audience:
“Building a More Inclusive Future: A DEI Experience" invites the entire NSU community to join in exploring the role of culture, verbal and non-verbal cues, and emotional intelligence in promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Through interactive activities and simulations, participants will reflect on their own attitudes, connect with others, and gain practical tools for promoting DEI. Join us for a dynamic and thought-provoking experience where we'll collaborate and explore the duality of perfectionism and DEI, and work together to build a more inclusive future.
