Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Sara relocated to the United States in 2016. Now a senior Communications major at NSU, she is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans dance, creative writing, and journalism. Her Christian faith is a guiding force in her life, shaping her journey both as an artist and as an individual. For Sara, writing is a profound form of self-expression—a way to navigate emotions, embrace growth, share her faith, and celebrate (or adapt to) change. Follow @pol217_ on Instagram. // This was written as a series of 4 poems that were featured in Amaia Flores' (Junior) dance piece for the 2025 Student Choreography Showcase for the NSU Dance Program. It is meant to depict the stages of grief, going from depression, anger, acceptance, and conclusion or (epilogue). The poems go together and Amaia can be credited as the author of the TITLE of the 4 pieces.
