Description

Supervisors and counselor educators must be affirming of all sex, sexuality, and gender identities, especially those of minorities such as LGBTQ+. This poster session will provide the tenants of affirmative therapy (Rose & Baltrinic, 2015) and how they construct the platform of affirmative supervision. The session will identify how this contributes to supervisees’ competence and level of supervision satisfaction, enhancing positive client outcomes. Emerging research in this area will also be discussed.
