Abstract
A two-dimensional lanthanide-suberate has been synthesized via hydrothermal methods. This structure is composed of dimeric secondary building units that are extended into sheets by suberate anions. Direct photoexcitation of the lanthanide center (Eu(III) and Tb(III)) show typical emission characteristics.
