NSU Experience

My time at NSU was instrumental in preparing me for my future career (and current one!) by offering a strong academic foundation paired with meaningful professional experiences. The M.S. program greatly expanded my scientific understanding and exposed me to numerous advanced topics, setting me up for success in professional school! Serving as a BIOL 1500 TA helped me master fundamental biological concepts while developing my teaching and leadership skills. Through roles like Shark Preview Leader and tutoring, I learned how to communicate effectively, support others, and manage responsibility. These skills continue to shape my path toward medicine and will greatly serve me as a physician. One of the things I appreciated most about NSU was the sense of community and support from faculty and peers! My message to current students is to embrace EVERY opportunity, especially the ones that push you outside of your comfort zone. These are the opportunities that help you grow the most!
