NSU Experience

My name is Mayte Lezcano and I am a first year pharmacy student in the Pharm. D. program at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), Fort Lauderdale campus. I formerly attended NSU as an undergraduate dual admissions student, where I acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During my time at NSU, I also had the opportunity to play collegiate softball. It is without a doubt that NSU has provided me with a phenomenal foundation to build off of for my future professional endeavors as a pharmacist. It is where my competitive nature and dedication stems from and why I feel comfortable networking in the professional world today. Within the biology program, I found it incredibly important to attend live lectures and establish a relationship with your preceptors in order to succeed. In the end, I feel as NSU presented many opportunities for me to step out of my comfort zone and broaden my scope of experience, knowledge, and leadership.
