Project Overview: NSU is expanding its Student Educational Center in West Palm Beach with the construction of a new four story, 75,000-square-foot facility. The new center will be located at the intersection of Interstate 95 and Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2010 and completed by January 2011. The new building will feature 26 classrooms, including four labs. It will also include a student lounge, fitness area, a pharmacy library and offices. Classes will be offered in the new facility beginning in summer 2011. "This new, larger building will allow us to expand our academic programs in Palm Beach County and help meet the higher education needs in the area," said NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr., "Our current and future students will benefit from the move, and the location right next to I-95 is perfect for our needs." NSU's Student Educational Center in West Palm Beach currently has more than 1,400 students enrolled and offers bachelor, master, specialist and doctoral degrees in numerous programs, including pharmacy, business, education, mental health counseling, and school psychology. NSU has had a presence in Palm Beach County for more than 35 years.
