Pei-Fen Li, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) presented at the 4^th International Forum on Marriage and Family Therapy, held at Hangzhou Normal University, Hangzhou, China.

Li presented a quasi-experimental design study, entitled, “Brief Therapy: Solution Talk with Parents of children with Autism in Taiwan.” It was conducted to evaluate if Solution Focused Brief Group Therapy (SFBGT) significantly enhances a wide range of coping strategies and decreases parenting stress for parents of children with Autism in Taiwan. She also highlighted the SFBT guidelines for developing a group treatment manual and discussed challenges and accommodations for working with this unique clinical population in Chinese culture. Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation granted this project for International Scholarly Exchange in Taiwan.
