Description

The purpose of this laboratory is to determine the apparent acid dissociation constant, š¾a, by estimating the pš¾a value of a porphyrin using visible spectrophotometry. This apparent pš¾a value is measured by graphic interpolating the absorbance changes obtained at varied wavelengths for different acid concentrations using the Hendersonā€“Hasselbach equation.
