About the Artist
Dr. Ludonir Sebastiany, an International Baccalaureate Program graduate of Southeast High who went on to play football at Florida State University, graduated from the FSU College of Medicine and is now a resident at Community Health of South Florida specializing in Family Medicine.
Sebastian played cornerback for the Seminoles under the legendary head coach Bobby Bowden. He was also a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-professional honor society, where he was extensively involved in community service events throughout Tallahassee, as well as U-SSTRIDE, a pipeline program devoted to serving rural, minority and underserved communities.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences and a minor in chemistry from FSU, Sebastian worked as a medical assistant at Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee under Dr. Armand Cognetta, a Mohs surgeon. From his experience as a medical assistant, Sebastian said he learned that attention to detail is critical in the art of medicine.
After a year of medical experience, Sebastian returned to his alma mater to earn his Master of Science degree in biomedical sciences. Once there, he researched the use of video in education for patients with type 2 diabetes alongside former FSU faculty member and mentor Dr. Kendall Campbell. In the future, Sebastian hopes to utilize his fluency in Creole, French, Spanish, and German to improve the health of individuals, both foreign and domestic.
