Artist Statement
This piece calls to the theme of "attention" through a mixed media piece incorporating collage, ink, and colored pencil. It embraces the nuances of both anatomy and popular music, rock-and-roll, to be specific. The title is taken from the popular song by Cheap Trick, of the same name in an effort to elude to the desire for human attention in a human form.

Marianne is currently a third-year medical student at Nova Southeastern University, hoping to pursue plastic surgery upon graduation and pursue her love of aesthetics and medicine all in one, She also holds a masters in nutrition and has a passion for the intersection of medical and nutritional sciences. In addition to her love for art, she also enjoys fitness and spending time with friends.
